50/50 Clay and wood ash glaze. The clay was dug from the farm pond of a friend just outside of Vietiane, Laos. The ash was collected from the stoves of cooks in Vientiane's central market The cup is made from a mix of the pond clay used in the glaze and Thai white stoneware. The translucent amber color was a bit of a surprise asI have been using this 50/50 recipe for years and generally the result is a matte yellow to green.
