BIOGRAPHY
Jenneva Kayser earned her BFA in Fine Arts in 2010. She has worked as an artist and teacher in the ceramic community ever since, currently as an instructor with Yourist Studios in Ann Arbor, MI. Previously she worked at Merritt Ceramics in Oakland, CA, and for many years as the studio manager at Mesa Arts Center in Mesa, AZ. Her works have been exhibited in solo shows at the Ann Arbor Art Center, Practical Art Gallery, Abrahms Claghorn Gallery, and phICA Galleries, and she is the current Sweet Dreams Society Artist in Residence with the Graduate Hotel Ann Arbor. Her works evoke wind patterns, shifting sands, and melting glaciers. She takes inspiration from the way that clay and glazes crackling and melting in the kiln can suggest geological forces on earth and on distant planets.
