Kris Nelson received an MFA from Alfred University in 1981. Kris had many ventures to cultivate his skills as a maker and broaden his clay horizons—including travels to Japan and participating in a kiln building at Peters Valley School of Craft in New Jersey. He is a teacher, mentor and friend to many spanning from the Midwest to the East Coast.
