I was born in 1983 in Suginami-ku, Tokyo. After graduating in 2006 from the Department of Space Modeling at Komazawa Women’s University, where I studied under Takauchi Syuugou, I built my first kiln in Mashiko in 2011. The following year, I relocated to Haga and began working as an independent artist.

In my work, I strive to capture the beauty of the natural world around me. The changing seasons in the forest, the flow of the streams, and the vastness of the mountains all shape and inspire my pieces. I carefully select natural clays and work with the finest glaze materials, taking time to understand the unique character of each clay. Only then can I discover the glaze that complements it best. For me, one of the most important parts of making pottery is finding harmony between the clay and the glaze.
